Leading the Trust and Safety initiatives, the full-time remote Head of Trust & Safety will manage AI output safety for educators and students, develop safety evaluations, and oversee incident response processes while building and leading a small team. Key responsibilities Own the safety of AI outputs, including policy development, model guardrails, and incident response Develop and implement safety evaluations and monitoring as part of product infrastructure Collaborate with Legal on compliance with privacy laws and regulations related to AI in education Required qualifications Proven experience in trust & safety or responsible AI for consumer or youth-facing products Hands-on expertise with LLM safety tooling, including evaluations and classifiers Experience managing live incidents involving minors or vulnerable users Strong writing skills for safety documentation and incident communications Ability to communicate safety tradeoffs to executive and district-level audiences
