\nMilner & Orr Funeral Home is seeking an experienced, licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team in Paducah, Kentucky. This position offers an opportunity for an established funeral service professional to take on a leadership role, with potential advancement into an Assistant Funeral Home Manager position.
\n We are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional professionalism, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to serving families with compassion and excellence.
· Provide compassionate, professional service to families throughout the funeral arrangement and service process.
\n· Perform embalming, preparation, and restorative procedures while maintaining high professional standards.
\n· Assist with coordinating daily funeral home operations, staffing, and funeral services.
\n· Mentor and support apprentices and other staff members in training.
\n· Demonstrate leadership through teamwork, accountability, and effective communication.
\n· Help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, employee development, and family service.
\n· For qualified candidates, assist management with employee supervision, scheduling, and daily operational oversight.
· Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, or eligible for Kentucky licensure.
\n· Minimum of 5 years of funeral service experience preferred.
\n· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
\n· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with families, coworkers, and other professionals.
\n· Leadership experience or demonstrated potential for management responsibilities.
\n· Professional, dependable, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
